Codigo Trio will be presenting their first full lenght CD soon!! Codigo Trio is a collaboration between three young, talented musicians, who started their ensemble with a clear goal: recording a document of "forgotten" repertoire [...] The combination of the sound of this ensemble and the repertoire resulted, after two days of intense and inspiring recording in a registration that can be described as warm, dark and gloomy, with an almost film atmosphere for its themes [...], therefor titled "Martyrs" . Welcome to the site of classical pianist Celia García-García.
Master of Music by Codarts Conservatory (Rotterdam, The Netherlands), where she graduated with a 9 for her final exam, Celia started studying classical piano at the age of nine at the local conservatory of her hometown Burgos (Spain). She followed Bachelor studies at Musikene Higher School of Music of the Basque Country in San Sebastián (Spain) and then ArtEZ hogeschool voor de kunsten (Arnhem, Enschede & Zwolle, The Netherlands), where she got her Bachelor Diploma with teacher Frank van de Laar.
She is currently based in The Netherlands.
Celia is an experienced pianist in the field of chamber music: with her different ensembles -Codigo Trio, Duo Vermeer, Ensemble Alondra, Florestan Kwintet and others-, she has performed all over The Netherlands (Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, De Doelen in Rotterdam, Musis Sacrum in Arnhem, Radio Kootwijk...) and in Spain. She has worked in the field of vocal accompaniment learning with many specialists such as Dido Keuning, Udo Reinemann and Rudolf Jansen.
She also plays in interdisciplinary projects such as Sweet Solitude with OperaDans (The Hague) and in the coming months she will be collaborating with circus artist Jorga Lok.
She specialized in orchestral playing on piano and celesta during her years of participation at the NJO (National Dutch Youth Orchestra), and later during her studies at Codarts, writing her Artistic Research about "The piano as orchestral instrument". In the past years she has collaborated with HGO (Arnhem Philharmonic Orchestra), RPhO (Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra) and Holland Symfonia among others.
She has got prizes for her solo playing at Xàtiva National Piano Competition, Arlanza Young Pianists Competition and others, and she was a finalist of the Grachtenfestival Conservatorium Concours and Albacete National Piano Competition. Her solo repertoire covers all classical styles from Baroque to contemporary music, with an accent on music from the early 20th century (Falla, Debussy, Ravel, Messiaen...).
During her studies she has been supported by scholarships from the City Council of Burgos, the Nieuw Haersoltefonds and the programme "Jóvenes Excelentes" by Caja de Burgos, for the making of her Master Artistic Research.
